Camden getting the casts on both legs! April 2008
We have now gone one step farther with Camden and his spina bifida "defaults". One month ago we drove to American Fork to get cast molds of Camden's feet up to his knees. Finally, today we were able to go back to American Fork ( sorry Tori we were going to come visit but we had to get back to get kids picked up!) and they made the molds fit him and attached the twister cables from the waist band to his ankle braces. The braces are because he has really weak ankles and can't keep his toes on the ground, they bend up towards his shins. The twister cables help keep his feet turned out so maybe he can start figuring out how to walk. Camden's physical therapist even drove to AF just so he could make sure Cam's braces are what he wants. I really appreciated that he cares that much for his patients (guess this is well worth paying out of pocket). This is just the beginning of a very long journey but it will be well worth it.

our kids need to trade legs for a little while! Kendal can't get her toe to come anywhere near her leg! It has been stuck down for 7 weeks and doesn't want to return!
So are those casts considered walking casts? What a crazy time for you guys. I hope these casts do the trick!
read it again, got it, now you are at braces and casts are gone, nice!! Twister cables? Still lost on that one.
Wow--you are an amazing mother, I hope you know that! He is a tough little kid too! You are forgiven for not stopping by, life gets too hectic.
