Chappell Family

This year for our annual family campout we went up Gooseberry. Mark and Emiko picked out the spot. It was beautiful up there. The perfect weather, few mosquito's, and lots of fun! Thanks to Mark and Em and their family for the fun filled weekend.

This is all the grandkids with Grandma and Grandpa (my mom and dad). Mari is in there to include baby strain who should be here by September! 16 grandkids and 1 on the way!

Back row: Baby Strain, April, Sean, Judd, Jayden, Maren, Taylor, Dakota
Front row: Sadie, Ayden, Bella, Alcy, Larry, Anthony, Cole (behind Anthony)
Grandpa holding Norah, Grandma holding Camden

Taylor, Jayden, Anthony, and Camden just as we left Bountiful- so awake and happy

Not long after.... ZZZZZZZZ

We met at Emiko's house in Redmond and then were sent on a scavenger hunt in Redmond and Salina. We were given a paper with pictures on it and were supposed to find these landmarks and take a picture of one of us by it. The rules were: 40 min to acquire as many pics as possible, could ask anyone, and the first one back with the most pics won!

Park in Redmond down the street from Emiko's house

(Rachel-just so you know this sign is as you come into Salina from Redmond. Who knew? )

Thank you Rachel you did help us with quite a few

Everyone knows where Blackhawk is

Once again thanks Rach!

We got 9 out of the 10! Not bad for city slickers :) The one we missed we apparently drove by it at least 3 different time. Grrrrr!!! We won a cooler. Nikki got 2nd and won a camping chair. Thanks Cranes that was fun!

Camden thought it was fun to stand in the steering wheel and honk!

Camden and Anthony in the tent. Taylor slept with the girls in their own tent.

What a handsome Cowboy!

Diantha and Norah

Anthony and Bella (I promise he was not going to stab her with that stick)

Camden aka bucket head

Camden sneaking a drink

The family hike

Dustin shaking the porta-potty while April was in there. Probably could have heard her scream for miles.

Dad (aka Gpa) made some set rules on the hike. We had to walk the length of a huge log without falling off, hop across the road on one foot, crawl through the grass

and roll down the flat

Camden and "Papa"

Jay, Cam, and Gpa

Cute little Norah

Curt

Nikki

Emiko and Mark

Ayden and Norah

The grand kids tug-o-war: girls against boys!

Girls
Do you really have to ask who won?
The GIRLS of course

Camden, Judd, Sean, Anthony, Norah, Maren, Jayden, April, and Taylor

Alcy celebrated her 5th birthday while we were camping.
So what else did we do? We ate CAKE!! Yummy!!!

The sunset we got to enjoy each night

Glow sticks by the campfire

The kids kept finding these horny toad/lizard looking things.

What are they? They look kinda like horny toads but they have tail! Is that normal??

Judd was teaching Camden how to be a gorilla by hitting his chest.
kinda cute :)

Dustin had to jump Diantha's and Mari's cars when it was time to pack up and go home.

We had a little game of baseball with everyone. Cam is funny when he plays. He hits the ball and then runs the other way. It is cute and he thinks he is just so fast.

Grandpa tried to block Taylor (it didn't work)

Lunch time

Cam found this pot of water (it was so dirty). He thought he should stick his head in it.

Then magically he comes out looking like a bald old man! Wah Lah!

Jay and April decided Cam should take a bath in a cooler

He loved it!!

After two minutes from leaving the campsite- this was Camden.
He had way too much fun

On the way down Mark decided we should "play" in the water trough.

April

Judd

Anthony

Dustin and Mark "convinced" Curt to get in- clothes and all!!

Curt put up a good fight! :)

Gotta love natural spring water!

Jayden

this is one long blog! Good job on taking so many pictures. I failed miserably at this. BTW, Emiko, my pictures are all on my blog, so you can get them off of there. Not a whole lot of them though!

Tacey, again thanks for all your help that weekend. It sure saved me many contractions!
