With an unexpected trip we turned it into a mini vacation. Grandma Mary passed away so I yet again made another driving trip to California for her funeral. I am glad we got to go as a family. Dustin and I decided to continue the trip with a vacation. We stayed at his aunts about an hour north of where my grandma lived. The second day we were there we drove to San Francisco and met Diantha- her girls, and my Dad. It was pretty fun. Definitely alot colder than when I went a month ago. Maren (my niece) spent the night with us and then rode down with us to SF. She got to be the pillow.
Our kids were VERY tired!
And a little grumpy
We all decided to go to the Aquarium at the Bay. It was way cool. If you are ever around SF you should try it. The kids loved it and so did us adults.
Camden had to take "Gampa" with him to see Nemo. He loves his Gampa
The kids- Maren, Norah, Taylor, Alcy, Anthony, and Camden
Everyone but me-
and then- ME!!
Maren and Taylor in the bubble
This is the biggest shark they have- her name is Debbie Ray
We got to touch some little sharks and other creatures
Camden and Dustin checking out the turtles
This is for Jimmy- I thought he would like it
All the starfish. They let you touch them.
You weren't supposed to pick them up- which of course my Dad did- But don't worry he reassured the worried kid next to us that said you aren't supposed to do that- that he worked there and it was okay! Always fun with my dad- love you dad
We ate at Bubba Gumps. The kids thought it was way cool to be that close to the water.
Here is my Dad telling Maren "do you see that white house on the island? I used to live there." Little does she know that it is Alcatraz!! My Dad is so funny.
